Farewell Texas Stadium
Last weekend we took a family trip to Texas Stadium. I've always wanted to take the stadium tour but never did get around to doing so. As some of you might know the new Cowboys stadium will open in June of this year and i can only imagine what is going to happen to the old one. All I know is that I have so many memories there, many good times and many not so good. When Wade Phillips took the field on his first home game I was there, when Romo threw his first interception I was there to see it it happen.
Every game I watched the players run out of that tunnel and always imagined what that would feel like. Well I finally got the chance to find out. I actually felt like a kid going to the candy store for the first time. At the begging of the tour I asked our tour guy if we were going to go down the tunnel and he looked at me and smiled and said "right after we go to their locker room." WOW, not only do I get to see parts of the stadium that i have never seen but I will also get to go down the tunnel. Now that is something I will never forget.
here are a few pictures that we took while we were there.
Blakely was not very happy that I was picking her up from the star..... ok maybe she didnt want to sit in it by herself.
Well, after all was done this was me and blakely taking our last walk through the exit gates :(
here are some pictures that i took of Blakely and I on the way home.
who says a Mexican can't have a blue eyed baby :)
as you can see on this picture she was not to happy that we had to leave.

She Is Finally here
After a rough pregnancy the day that alot of us have been waiting for finally arrived. Blakely Rhyan Gomez Is here, she was born thursday Jan 8th at 5:13 pm. She was 6lb 13oz 20 inches long.
Today, sunday, she is 3 days old and she looks completely different than she did the day she was born. Its amazing how fast these past few days have gone by. While Karen was at the hospital I went down to the cafeteria to get some lunch and there was a guy sitting at the table next to me. We started talking and he told me about his two daughters and how he still remembered when his oldest was first born.
He gave some advise... to take alot of pictures because kids grow up fast and time will fly in front of my eyes. He also told me not to ever turn my back on my children because there is not ever going to be a good enough reason of why I shouldn't support what they do. I thanked the guy for the advise and now i can see what he meant about everything he told me.
Memories are worth a million smiles, and a picture can and will make it even more priceless. Today we gave Blakely her first bath at home. It was exciting and scary at the same time. Karen started, I came in to help and then Nonnie came in to finish up. This is a once in a lifetime experience, yes she will continue to receive baths for the rest of her life, but the first one only happens once.
I am excited about this new chapter in my life and I cant wait for all those first time every-things that are yet to come.
here are a few pics of her first times so far
Me holding her for the first time
Me and Blakely taking our first nap together
